Welcome to Year 5

Welcome to all our new Year 5 pupils! This year is going to be an amazing year, full of lots of learning, laughter and love. 

Our Big Question this term is....

Is the climb worth the effort?

This term we will be learning about the famous mountain ranges from all across our globe in Geography, producing writing linked to Shackleton's Journey in English, enjoying our fantasty adventure novel 'Cogheart',  learning about the rebuilding of post-war Britain, and even embarking on our own 'mountain expedition' as we visit and conquer Moel Famau in North Wales.

 

Our main texts for this term are: Shackleton's Journey by William Grill and Cogheart by Peter Bunzl.
